About Us

Mike’s Hardware has been serving New Orleans for over four decades, offering personalized service and a wide selection of competitively priced products. Owned by two generations of the LaFleur family, Mike’s Hardware is now led by brothers Lee and Rob LaFleur. Mike’s Hardware is committed to serving future generations.
We actively support various causes in the New Orleans area, including The Special Olympics, neighborhood clean-up events, scouting troops, playgrounds, and school fairs. We strive to give back to our community. For years, Mike’s Hardware has participated in and supported numerous charity cooking events, winning the DSAGNO Buddy Walk Jambalaya Cook Off three times. Our cuisine is a crowd favorite at events such as Hogs For The Cause, Clash of the Cooks, Brother Martin High School, Hynes Charter School, Riverdale High School, St. Catherine of Siena, and community events.
During Hurricane Katrina, Mike’s Hardware served as a base camp and safe-haven for those escaping floodwaters. The owners, along with other good Samaritans, stayed for a week to assist those in need. Mike’s Hardware was the first business to reopen in the Gentilly area after the hurricane, and we continue to move forward.
